COMPUTER ‘PIVOT’ ANIMATION
INTRODUCTION
Create two ‘frame by frame’ animations using PIVOT. The tasks are designed to teach you the skills and physics of the program.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Orientation:
– Open Pivot, look at some samples and familiarize yourself with moving the characters
– Create a short ‘test’ animation so you understand how to move items
Task 1 – The Physics of movement:
1. Open Pivot
2. Create a box that covers most of the working area
3. Open the sticks for your initials (they are in Graphics/Animation/Pivot/Alphabet’)
4. Make one letter large, the other no more than half the size.
5. Have the letters move and bounce around the box.
– The small letter should move twice as fast as the large one.
– Create at least 100 frames
Task 2 – Body movement / Climbing:
1. Open Pivot
2. Open the sticks for ALL letters of your name and create a hill, ladder or other structure with them.
3. Open a basic Stickman and have it climb to the top of your structure.
– Make sure movements are realistic
– Create at least 100 frames
Submit Both Pivot files
KEY CRITERIA:
Smooth Movement, Physics work, NO GORE, Creativity
EXTENDING:
Have your structure from Task 2 crumble and stickman fall and get up with the rubble.
Continue the story in a creative way
